As many district residents continue to demand debates within the district, Casten reiterated his challenge to Roskam to comply.

(Downers Grove) July 25, 2018 - Last week Peter Roskam voted to slash the budgets for the EPA and Interior Department, demonstrating that his pose on protecting our drinking water is just an election-year charade. In response, Sixth District Congressional Candidate Sean Casten and Jack Darin, Director of the Sierra Club Illinois Chapter, released the following statement:

“Peter Roskam is afraid to debate in front of his own constituents. We’ve been invited to multiple debates in our own district --- open and free for voters -- but Roskam refuses to even give the courtesy of a response to many of those groups. We will debate him any time, anywhere, but we prefer that debates be held in the district.”
