Winfield is a village of nearly 9,000 residents located in DuPage county, located about an hour’s drive west of Chicago, and also accessible by the Union Pacific/West Metra line.

Living in Winfield

Winfield is a quiet village in the Chicago suburbs, but one with close access to many of the amenities of DuPage County. The Central DuPage Hospital is located in Winfield, and is operated by Northwestern Medicine. In addition to being one of the largest employers of the area, Northwestern has been working with the village to develop the surrounding Town Center area in Winfield.

What to See

The Winfield area has a rich history dating back to the 19th century. One of the area’s oldest institutions is St. John the Baptist Church, which has been in operation since 1867.

Winfield is bordered by the Klein Creek Farm, which has been restored to reflect farm life in the 1890s and has many attractions for visitors. Winfield also contains the Klein Creek Golf Club, which is open to the public and prides itself as being one of the best maintained golf clubs in the area.

Congressional Representation

Winfield is contained entirely within Illinois’ 6th congressional district.

In 2018, Sean Casten is running against the incumbent Peter Roskam, who has held the 6th district congressional seat since 2007.

Sean is committed to serving Winfield and the rest of the 6th district by focusing on facts and working to strengthen the community’s schools and economy.
