Rolling Meadows is a suburb located northwest of Chicago, with a population of about 25,000.

 

Living in Rolling Meadows

Rolling Meadows is a quiet residential community dotted with many small parks and playgrounds for the children and families in the communities. The Rolling Meadows Parks District maintains more than a dozen facilities, including parks, playgrounds, and recreation centers.

Rolling Meadows also has a variety of amenities for families. It contains a library and community center, a small historical museum, and the Nelson Sports Complex which features an olympic sized swimming pool, ice skating rink, and a gymnastics center.

The largest employer in the village is Northrop Grumman, employing more than 2,000 people. These are expected to be part of the team to deliver the next generation of stealth bombers to the US Air Force.

 

Congressional Representation

Rolling Meadows has portions located in Illinois’ 6th District as well as in Illinois’ 8th congressional district.

Residents in the 8th district are currently represented by Raja Krishnamoorthi (D), who was elected in 2016 to occupy the seat formerly held by Tammy Duckworth. and will be running against Republican candidate Jitendra Diganvker in November.

In the 6th district, Sean Casten is running against the incumbent Peter Roskam, who has held the 6th district congressional seat since 2006.

Sean is committed to serving the people of Rolling Meadows and the rest of the 6th district by focusing on facts and working to strengthen the community’s schools and economy.
