The Village of Kildeer is located near the southern border of Lake County, in Ela Township, about 30 miles northwest of Chicago Loop. Its population in 2010 census was just under 4,000. Kildeer is recognized for its natural, setting with ponds, lakes streams and wetlands amongst custom homes on spacious lots. It is known as “A Unique Village in a Natural Setting.”

Kildeer is served by three highly accredited public school districts: Lake Zurich Community Unit School District 95, KIldeer Countryside Consolidated Community School District 96, and Consolidated High School District 125.

Daily commuters to Chicago can pick up the Metra train at the Palatine station. For drivers, Illinois Highway 53 and I-90 provide an easy route to the city.

Nearby hospitals include Advocate Good Shepard Hospital in Barrington, Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, and Northwest Community Healthcare Immediate Care in Lake Zurich.

What to See

Kildeer is home to the Kemper Lakes Golf Club, which hosted the 2018 Women’s PGA Championship.

Famous golfers such as Tiger Woods, Arnold Palmer, and Jack Nicklaus have played at the club.

Another popular facility is Farmington Bath and Tennis Club, which offers a pool and tennis courts nestled in 10 acres of green parkland.

 

Congressional Representation

Kildeer is contained entirely within Illinois’ 6th congressional district.

In 2018, Sean Casten is running against the incumbent Peter Roskam, who has held the 6th district congressional seat since 2007.
