The Village of Hoffman Estates is home to more than 50,000 residents and is located in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, about an hour from the city and twenty minutes from O’Hare International Airport.

Living in Hoffman Estates

Hoffman Estates residents are served by a number of school districts, many of which overlap with school districts from nearby Schaumburg, Barrington, and Elgin. The village limits contain Hoffman Estates High School and James B Conant High School, both of which are part of District 211.

Hoffman Estates is home to thousands of employers and businesses, and has an excellent track record for attracting corporate headquarters from both US and foreign companies. The village has been the home of Sears since 1993 and has been very successful at attracting businesses to its “Golden Corridor” which contains numerous office parks, Fortune 500 companies, shopping centers and restaurants.

What to See

Hoffman Estates attracts visitors from all over Chicagoland to its vibrant restaurant, event space, and entertainment scene.  Hoffman Estates is also the home of the Sears Centre Arena, one of the largest sporting arenas in the Chicago area, and is a great spot for fans of basketball, hockey, music concerts, and more. The village is popular hotel spot for out of town guests, thanks to its proximity to O’Hare.

More information can be found from the village website here.

Congressional Representation

Portions of Hoffman Estates are in Illinois’ 8th congressional district, while other areas of the village are in the 6th district.

Residents in the 8th district are currently represented by Raja Krishnamoorthi (D), who was elected in 2016 to occupy the seat formerly held by Tammy Duckworth. Raja will be running against Republican candidate Jitendra Diganvker in November.

In the 6th district, Sean Casten is running against the incumbent Peter Roskam, who has held the 6th district congressional seat since 2006.

Sean is committed to serving Hoffman Estates and the rest of the 6th district by focusing on facts and working to strengthen the community’s schools and economy.
