Deer Park is a village in southwest Lake County, located between Barrington and Buffalo Grove. Deer Park is a residential community with several popular shopping destinations and recreation areas.

The Metra Chicago and Northwestern train line provides commuter transportation to Chicago from nearby stations at Barrington or Palatine. Four school districts serve portions of Deer Park: Palatine Consolidated Elementary School District 15, Barrington Community Unit School District 220, Lake Zurich Community Unit School District 95, and Township High School District 211. What to See Deer park is bordered by two large natural areas that give the community plenty of open space for enjoyment and recreation. Deer Park is home to Vehe Farm, an Illinois Centennial Farm that has wetlands, walking trails, pond, butterfly garden and community center. In late July or early August, the Deer Park Town Center presents their Annual Jazz and Wine Festival, which takes place in the outdoor Gazebo. The festival features crafts and activities for all ages, in addition to musical performances and wine tastings. |

Deer Park is contained entirely within Illinois’ 6th congressional district.
