Downers Grove, IL — Today, U.S. Congressman Sean Casten (D-IL) announced he has been endorsed by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers of America and Canada. This endorsement comes on the heels of IBEW’s Illinois State Conference endorsing Rep. Casten and joins a growing list of unions backing his re-election.

“Having good-paying union jobs is absolutely essential to a strong and equitable economy,” said Rep. Sean Casten. “I have been proud to stand with IBEW since I first ran for office – my election night celebration in 2018 was held at IBEW Local 701. Thanks to the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, we know more union jobs are coming to Illinois. I look forward to continuing to be a voice for working families in the 6th District.”

Casten has previously been endorsed by the Associated Fire Fighters of Illinois, the IBEW Illinois State Conference, the International Association of Fire Fighters, as well as more than a dozen other local unions.
