DuPage County Building and Construction Trades Council Recommends Rep. Sean Casten for Re-Election

Downers Grove, IL — Today, U.S. Congressman Sean Casten (IL-06) announced he has been recommended by the DuPage County Building and Construction Trades Council, which is composed of tens of local unions and is the second-largest Building & Construction Trades Council in Illinois. The group voted unanimously to endorse Rep. Casten.

“Three years ago, Sean declared victory from our union hall and has had our back every day since,” said Joe Riley, DuPage County Building and Construction Trades Council President. “Thanks to Rep. Sean Casten’s work, the 6th District is home to so many good-paying, union jobs. We are proud to endorse him as we work together to fight for working people, rebuild our infrastructure, and create an economy that works for all.”

“I’ve long believed that strong unions make for a strong economy,” said Rep. Sean Casten. “In Congress, I’ve worked tirelessly to bring good-paying, union jobs back to the 6th District. I’m honored to have earned the endorsement of the DuPage Building & Construction Trades, and I look forward to continuing my fight on behalf of working families in the next Congress.”

Last week, Rep. Casten was endorsed by two local unions—IBEW Local 701 and IUPAT Local 30—who are both part of the DuPage County Building and Construction Trades Council.
