Bartlett is a village in Chicago’s western suburbs, located in portions of Cook, DuPage, and Kane counties. Once a relatively small village, Bartlett grew rapidly in the 1980’s and is now one of the larger municipalities in the 6th congressional district, with a population of over 40,000.

Students in Bartlett are served by Elgin Area School District U46, one of the largest districts in Illinois, with facilities ranging from preschools through high school. Bartlett also offers a variety of parks, playgrounds, and other recreational areas for year-round enjoyment. The village is known for having one of the largest Little League baseball programs in the United States. What to See One of Bartlett’s most popular attractions is the Villa Olivia ski hill and banquet center, which also features an 18-hole golf course. Visitors are also drawn to Bartlett’s historic downtown district, which has shops, restaurants, and bars along both sides of the Metra station in the center of town. Portions of Bartlett are in Illinois’ 8th congressional district, while other areas of the village are in the 6th district. In the 8th district, the incumbent Congressman is the Democrat Raja Krishnamoorthi, who was first elected in 2016. He is being challenged by the Republican Jitendra Diganvkr. In the 6th district, Sean Casten is running against the incumbent Peter Roskam, who has held the 6th district congressional seat since 2007.
