Sean is committed to fighting for racial justice in Washington and in our communities. We must take bold action to ensure that our country lives up to its founding principle that all people are created equal. It is everyone’s responsibility to stand up for justice, and Sean is fighting to push America forward.

In Congress, Sean:

• Cosponsored the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act, which would ban chokeholds, stop no-knock warrants, eliminate qualified immunity, establish a National Police Misconduct Registry, and end racial and religious profiling.
• Advocates for environmental justice, including protecting communities of color that are most affected by pollution, extreme weather, food insecurity, and other consequences of climate change.
• Cosponsored H.R. 1, which would stop states from suppressing voting rights and vote purging practices that disproportionately target marginalized groups.

Sean believes that Black Lives Matter. Bigotry will not end in this country without people standing up against hatred in their own community. There is no easy way out, and we must confront the realities of systemic racism every day.
